Make A Difference Day 2009
Make a Difference Day Ohio 2009 was a big success in Delaware County. Approximately 240 volunteers attended our kickoff breakfast at the Delaware Area Career Center North Campus and volunteered over 1,000 hours of community service.
Eleven non-profit agencies were served as well as nearly 40 homes of senior citizens where volunteers did a variety of projects including raking of leaves, cleaning gutters, window washing, and painting. It was an exciting day and one that emphasized the value of volunteering to all ages within our community.
This day would not exist if we didn’t have our volunteers who gave of their time to “do good” in their neighborhood and make a difference in the lives of many.
